Remote Displays are supplementary displays that are set up in various areas of the event to provide additional information to teams, volunteers and event attendees.
At a minimum, events should have two Remote Displays to show Teamwork and Skills Rankings. Refer to the Venue Selection, Facility Planning & Field Layout article for more information.
Each Remote Display can show a variety of information that can be changed as the event day progresses. Review the Remote Display Types to learn more about what information they provide and recommendations of when and where to place them at your event.
Remote Display: Rankings
This is the most commonly used Remote Display type shown at events and is typically located in a convenient location for teams and event attendees to view. The Rankings screen displays the current Teamwork match rankings on the left side. On the right side, the match results for the previous two matches are displayed, and the upcoming match information is shown underneath.
Remote Display: Skills Ranking
This is the second most common Remote Display used at events and is typically located near the Skills fields where teams and event attendees can view the results throughout the day. The Skills Ranking display shows the Team’s highest Autonomous and Piloting Skills scores, and the Teams are ranked according to their Total Skills score.
Remote Display: Inspection
The Inspection Remote Display type is useful to show at the beginning of the event near the Team Pit area or other common space easily accessible to Teams. This display shows the Team’s Check-in and Inspection status and is automatically updated as the Team’s status changes. This information helps motivate Teams to complete the Team Check-in and Inspection steps which are required to compete.
Remote Display: Logo
The Logo Remote Display is used at the discretion of the EP to highlight sponsors and the RECF. This is typically shown during event breaks, in between matches, or on an available extra display throughout the day.
Remote Display: Schedule
The Schedule Remote Display shows upcoming Teamwork match information, including the Match Number, Teams in the match, the match’s Field Name, and the match’s start time. This display is commonly found near the queuing tables or Team Pit area.
Remote Display: Upcoming Matches
The Upcoming Matches Remote Display shows the upcoming Teamwork Matches. This display is similar to the Schedule Remote Display except for that it does not scroll to show all matches. The Upcoming Match display is commonly used next to the Teamwork fields near the queuing tables or Team Pit area.
Other Remote Display Options
There are other, less commonly used, Remote Display options available to select in the Current Display field. These are more commonly used in the Main Audience Display, but can be shown on Remote Displays as well, if desired.
