There are two Main Audience Display options:
- Teamwork Main Audience Display
- Skills Main Audience Display
The Teamwork Main Audience Display is the most common type of display at events. It is a large display centrally located near the Teamwork Fields so that it is viewable by the Teams and Audience.
- If an event has multiple Teamwork fields, the Teamwork Main Audience Display will show match information for all Teamwork fields in that Division. For example, if there are two Teamwork Fields, then it will automatically toggle between both fields for the Teamwork Matches.
- If an event has multiple Divisions, then there needs to be separate Teamwork Audience Displays for each Division.
The Skills Main Audience Display is less commonly used at events because most Skills Fields have their own individual Field Timers. It does provide a way to display and control Skills Match timers, rankings, and other Main Audience Display types.
Refer to the Venue Selection, Facility Planning & Field Layout article for more information about where to place Main Audience Displays, and refer to Setting Up & Controlling Main Audience Displays for more information on how to create and change the display types.
The Main Audience Display can show a variety of information that can be changed as the event day progresses in the Main Audience Display menu. Review the Main Audience Display Types to learn more about what information they provide and recommendations of when to show them during the event.
Main Audience Display: Up Next
The Up Next display shows the upcoming match information, including the match number, match type and teams participating in the match. This is typically displayed prior to each match.
Main Audience Display: In Match
The In Match display is automatically shown whenever a match is started. This display shows the match type, match number, match timer, teams participating in the match, and the live scoring. This display type must be shown during matches.
Main Audience Display: Saved Match Results
The Saved Match Results display shows the scoring information from the previously scored match. If time permits, it’s recommended to show this display after the match or after the next match if two fields are used.
Main Audience Display: Alliance Selection
The Alliance Selection display should be shown during the Alliance Selection process. This display shows which teams are available to be selected and the resulting Alliances.
Main Audience Display: Elimination Bracket
The Elimination Bracket display should be displayed between Elimination matches. This display shows which teams are in the Elimination Matches, the results, and which teams move on to the next round.
Main Audience Display: Award Slides
The Award Slides display will show the Award Slides during the Award ceremony.
Other Main Audience Display Options
There are other Main Audience Display types that are also commonly used on Remote Displays, but can be shown on the Main Audience Displays as well, if desired. See the Remote Display Types article for more information about these display types:
