JROTC teams will follow the same team registration process as all Aerial Drone Competition teams in RECFevents.org. Detailed step by step instructions can be found here. Teams may submit payment via check, purchase order (PO), or credit card as outlined in the process.


Some JROTC brigades, units, or areas have contracts that include pre-paid team registration fees. If you have been informed that your team is covered under such an agreement, please follow the steps below to ensure the pre-paid registration fees are correctly applied to your account.

If you are not sure, reach out to your RECF Regional Support Manager.

Step 1 - Create an Account

Create an account on RECFevents.org using these step by step instructions.

IMPORTANT

Beginning May 2025, RECFevents.org will replace RobotEvents.org for team and event registration. If you previously had a RobotEvents account, please use the same name, email address, and team number(s) to create your new account so your background check and other info can be transferred.

Step 2 - Complete Background Check

New coaches

  • Complete your background check through RECFevents.org.

Returning coaches

  • Do not submit a new background check — your information will be transferred from RobotEvents.org.
  • Once cleared, proceed to register your team(s).

Step 3 - Register your team(s)

  • A team consists of 3–5 cadets. You can register multiple teams per school.
  • Student rosters are not required during registration. You may assign students later.
  • Begin Checkout and make payment.

Step 4 - Submit Payment Form (if applicable) 

If your JROTC leadership has coordinated with RECF and prepaid the Season Registration fee, please complete the following steps and contact your Regional Support Manager to request the PAYMENT REQUEST FORM so the payment can be applied to your account.

  • Begin checkout and select “Pay Later” as the payment method.
  • Record your Team Number(s)
  • Record your Order/Invoice Number.
    • For reporting purposes, only the number following “O-” is needed.
    • For example, in the image below, the order number is 11.
    • This is the number you should enter in the payment request form.
