Scheduling Teamwork matches for multi-day events is very similar to the process for a single day event. Review the Schedule Setup section in the Event Setup article first to learn more about the different types of Teamwork Matches, methods to create matches and additional helpful tips.
Schedule Helper for Multi-day Events
The Schedule Helper can be used to schedule Teamwork Practice and Qualification matches on multiple days. This will be done by generating the schedule blocks one day at a time.
- Enter the first date that scheduled matches will be played in the Event Date field.
- Enter the time when scheduled matches (Practice or Qualification matches) will start on that day.
- Enter the time when scheduled Qualification matches will end on that day (not the whole event).
- Enter the number of Qualification Teamwork matches per team for that day (not the whole event).
- Select if your event will include a lunch break (Yes or No).
- It’s best practice to include a 30 - 60 minute lunch break. This provides an opportunity for teams and volunteers to take a well-deserved break. Also, scheduling a longer lunch break will provide cushion in your event schedule in case matches run longer than expected prior to lunch.
- Enter the start and end times of the lunch break.
- Select Generate Schedule.
- Review the scheduled match blocks generated by the Schedule Helper.
- Select Go to Helper to return to the Schedule Helper.
- Modify the event date to be the next date when scheduled matches will begin, and repeat Steps 2 - 6.
- Review the generated match blocks to ensure that the dates, cycle times and total number of matches per team is correct. Select Save and Continue once the scheduled match schedule settings have been verified.
Note: The “end” time does not include Elimination Matches. Ensure you leave enough time to do Elimination matches after the scheduled Qualification Matches.
Manually Entering Time Blocks
Some users prefer to create their scheduled match time blocks from scratch. See the Manually Entering Time Blocks section of the Event Setup article for instructions.
