The Team Inspection process captures which teams have completed Inspection on the event day.

Accessing Team Inspection

The teams will go to the designated Inspection area before they compete in matches on the event day. The Inspectors will access the Team Inspection menu in the Competition Portal through the Dashboard or in the left-hand menu. Event Partners can assign specific device permissions to only allow access to the Team Inspection menu. More information can be found in the Device Permissions article.

Updating the Team’s Inspection Status

  1. The list of Teams includes Teams that have Checked-in for the event. If the Team number does not appear on the list, verify that the Team has been Checked-in first. The team list should automatically update when a Team is Checked-in, but you can also select the Refresh icon to ensure the list is updated.

  2. Select the Team number from the list to open the Inspection screen for that Team.
  3. Complete the Inspection fields:
    1. Verify the Team number is correct.
    2. Review each of the items in the Inspection Checklist and select the box next to the items that have been passed.
    3. Modify the Inspection Status
      1. Not Started: Default setting and has not passed. The team is not eligible to compete.
      2. Partially Passed: Passed some but not all of the Inspection items. The team must return and pass all items before they are eligible to compete.
      3. Passed: All of the Inspection items have been passed. The team is eligible to compete.
    4. Add the Team Member’s initials and the Inspector’s Name.
    5. Optional: Add any clarifying notes. This is helpful if a Team partially passes and notes would provide additional information on the situation.
    6. Select Save.

  5. Repeat this process for the remaining Teams.

Filtering Teams by Inspection Status

The default view of the Team Inspection screen is to show all Checked-In Teams for the event. If you want to filter the list by the Team’s Inspection status, use the drop-down menu to identify which Teams should appear on the list:

Inspection Checklist Link

At the top of the Team Inspection screen, there is a link to access the Inspection Checklist document for that competition. Some Event Partners like to print the Inspection Checklist to provide to teams and to Inspection Volunteers.
